Welcome to Craig House Cacti 2010/2011
"A hectic year but very rewarding". That is how we can describe the 2010 season. We said we were going to have a hard job following our success in 2009 but we did it. Our medal record this year has been second to none as we have achieved the highest award at every show we have attended. The additional five RHS Gold Medals won this year make our total tally twelve in three years. We also achieved eight Large Gold Medals, one Gold and one Best in Show from other shows.
Our second year at Chelsea produced another Gold Medal together with publicity from the local television programme, BBC Midlands Today, and local radio station, BBC WM. Some of the plants were featured on BBC Gardeners' World but it was a fleeting visit. An interview did take place but it was never shown.
We seem to have spent an awful lot of time on the road even managing three trips across the border to bonnie Scotland. Was it worth it, you ask? Well yes. The Ayr Flower Show produced a best in show award, which was an honour to receive especially as it was the show's 50th Anniversary, and we always get a good reception up North at all of their shows.
The displays produced a lot of interest for visitors, so we achieved what we set out to do in the first place. Obviously the present financial climate does not help any business venture but we would like to take this opportunity to thank our growing number of customers, old and new, for their support, and in return we will endeavor to continue to give good service and find lots of unusual plants to attract your attention.
We have had nothing but good reports from customers who have bought plants from us in previous years and our advice and encouragement has paid off with them growing healthy plants which flower and grow. Our feed is second to none so if you need any, see our other pages for details. We aim to continue to bring you well-grown and established small plants as well as mature specimens. We can guide you through your first steps of succulent growing and also provide challenging plants. We will spend time explaining how to care for the plants you purchase from us.
We look forward to meeting you at any of the shows shown on this website, but in the mean time, if you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. If there are any plants you would specifically like to be taken to a show we will gladly oblige, providing we have fourteen days notice and the plants are available.

PS. Our Winter has been marred by the severe weather and the death of Vicki's father, who has helped us no end by packaging feed, compost, seed and propagated an enormous amount of plants from cuttings. He will be sadly missed.
